On February 10-18, 2021, with the support of the SSU Center for Regional Security Studies<\/a>, a series of online lectures from NATO Headquarters were organized, as well as a panel online discussion “Sustainability and Security: What Ukraine Can Learn from NATO?”. Students majoring in International Law, and members of Department, joined the event.<\/p>\n

Dr Petr Lunak, Diplomat, Representative of the Center for Public Diplomacy at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, spoke about NATO’s major historical transformations, prospects for enlargement and current NATO-Russia relations. Tanya Hartman, an expert at the Political Affairs and Security Policy Division at NATO Headquarters, gave a lecture to discuss the prospects of providing Ukraine with a NATO Membership Action Plan. Vineta Kleine, Director of the NATO Information and Documentation Center in Ukraine, highlighted key issues of NATO’s activities through the prism of public diplomacy.<\/p>\n

In addition, Valery Kravchenko, Director of the Center for International Security and Senior Research Fellow at the National Institute for Strategic Studies, spoke to the students about past and future public diplomacy projects in collaboration with the NATO Information and Documentation Center in Ukraine.<\/p>\n
