{"id":24439,"date":"2024-11-25T13:20:38","date_gmt":"2024-11-25T13:20:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kmeep.law.sumdu.edu.ua\/presentation-of-the-project-eu-migration-policy-and-law-in-the-context-of-sustainable-development-goals-in-2024\/"},"modified":"2024-11-25T13:28:08","modified_gmt":"2024-11-25T13:28:08","slug":"presentation-of-the-project-eu-migration-policy-and-law-in-the-context-of-sustainable-development-goals-in-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kmeep.law.sumdu.edu.ua\/en\/presentation-of-the-project-eu-migration-policy-and-law-in-the-context-of-sustainable-development-goals-in-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Presentation of the Project &#8220;EU Migration Policy and Law in the Context of Sustainable Development Goals&#8221; in 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On November 21, 2024, a <a href=\"https:\/\/kmeep.law.sumdu.edu.ua\/en\/invitation-to-the-presentation-event-and-webinar\/\">presentation of the Jean Monnet projects &#8220;EU Migration Policy and Law in the Context of Sustainable Development Goals&#8221; (Jean Monnet Module), &#8220;Access to justice: best EU practices for Ukraine\u00a0&#8221; (Jean Monnet Module), and &#8220;EU Standards on freedom of expression and information&#8221; (Jean Monnet Chair)<\/a> took place.<\/p>\n<p>Over 180 participants registered for the event and were representatives of academia, the public sector, and students.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, <a href=\"https:\/\/kmeep.law.sumdu.edu.ua\/en\/anna-slavko\/\">Anna Slavko<\/a>, the thematic coordinator of the <a href=\"https:\/\/kmeep.law.sumdu.edu.ua\/en\/the-eu-migration-policy-and-law-in-the-context-of-sustainable-development-goals-2\/\">project &#8220;EU Migration Policy and Law in the Context of Sustainable Development Goals,&#8221;<\/a> shared the results of the project&#8217;s implementation over the past two years. These included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hosting two online schools on EU migration law,<\/li>\n<li>Organizing two workshops for forced migrants,<\/li>\n<li>Conducting two conferences dedicated to the specifics of EU migration law and policy,<\/li>\n<li>Developing and teaching the elective course &#8220;EU Migration Law and Policy: History and Modernity&#8221; for SumDU students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The event featured guest lecturer Alyona Rudyk, a senior lawyer at the <a href=\"https:\/\/r2p.org.ua\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Right to Protection&#8221; Charitable Foundation<\/a>, who spoke about protecting the rights of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Sumy region.
