From 7 November to 19 December 2025, Associate Professor Anna Slavko completed an internship at the School of Law and Social Justice of the University of Liverpool.
During the internship, the lecturer worked on the topic of European Union standards in the field of transitional justice. In addition, the internship was aimed at enhancing skills in supervising the research work of students.
The internship was part of the Twinning programme. The Twinning programme is a model of cooperation designed to support Ukrainian universities during and after the war by establishing meaningful partnerships between Ukrainian and international higher education institutions. The University of Liverpool became a partner of Sumy State University. Within the framework of this partnership, the “Co-supervision Research Fellowship Program” project was launched, under which the internship took place.
During the internship, the lecturer collaborated with Professor Michael Dougan, a leading expert in the field of European law and European Union law.
