From April 8 to May 13, 2023, the online school “EU Migration Law”, organized as part of the implementation of the educational project 101098859-EU4Migration-ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH-UA-IBA / ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH -RSCH “The EU Migration Policy and Law in the Context of Sustainable Development Goals” (Jean Monet Module of the Erasmus+ program).
The school envisaged intensive work on the problems of EU migration law. In particular, the history of migration processes in Europe, institutions operating in the field of migration, the main provisions of Schengen law and the protection of human rights in migration procedures were studied.
The school’s lecturers were the project team members: Anatoliy Goncharenko, Olha Shvaher, Vladyslava Zavhorodnia and Anna Slavko. The school also included a webinar “Rights of IDPs. The status of persons in need of temporary protection in the EU”, which was lectured by Volodymyr Bilokha, senior lawyer of the Poltava interregional office of the “Right to Protection” Charitable Foundation.
In total, more than 70 people registered to participate in the school, but only more than 40 participants were able to complete their studies, representing both the legal professional community (lawyers, investigators, legal consultants, teachers) and the wider population (schoolchildren, secondary school teachers, etc.).
