On June 24, 2022, the Women’s Lawyers Association Yurfem organized a public discussion “Sexual Violence in Conflict as an International Crime through the Prism of the International Criminal Court.” Representatives of the academic community, lawyers, and Prosecutor General’s Office employees joined the discussion. The main issues discussed were the specifics of the qualification of sexual violence under international criminal law, the problems of gathering evidence of sexual violence in armed conflicts, the cooperation of national law enforcement agencies with the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, and so on.
The lecturer of the department Anna Slavko, who was the main speaker on the topic “The role and importance of national courts in bringing individuals to justice under national law in resolving cases in the International Criminal Court”, also joined the discussion.
