The event, organized by the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Ukraine in cooperation with the Institute of International Relations Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, was attended by scientists from Norway and Ukraine.
The round table was dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the birth of the legendary Norwegian Fritjof Nansen and his outstanding contribution to the development of the international system of protection of people fleeing persecution and conflict, the establishment of principles relevant today. In addition, the rights of people forced to leave the occupied Crimea, migrants from eastern Ukraine, the problems currently faced by displaced free economic zones, and various aspects of forced migration in the modern world were discussed.
