On March 23-24, the Baltic University Program hosted online meetings that brought together graduates of the course “Education for Sustainable Development in Higher Education” 2017-2020.
The event discussed the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals in teaching and learning in universities, the challenges of distance learning caused by the pandemic, the use of modern innovative teaching methods in higher education. Graduates of the course “Education for Sustainable Development in Higher Education”, organized by the Baltic University Program with the support of the Academy of Abo (Finland) and implemented for teachers of member universities in 2017-2020, shared their experience of educational projects aimed at achieving Sustainable Development Goals. Teachers took part in a workshop on Design Thinking, and also listened to a lecture by Prof. Peter Erchstrom, devoted to the issues of sustainable development through the prism of mass culture. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department of International, European, and Civil Law Vladyslava Zavgorodnya (a graduate of the course 2019-2020). She presented the results of a joint project with Olga Shvaher devoted to implementation of value-based approach with a focus on Sustainable Development. in teaching International Law disciplines.
