Participation in the All-Ukrainian Student Research Competition

Students majoring in International Law took part in the second stage of the 9th All-Ukrainian Research Competition “The Human Dimension of Law,” dedicated to the memory of Mark Pylypovych Orzikh, which took place on November 9, 2024, at the National University “Odesa Law Academy.”

In the second stage were selected research papers by third-year students Kristina KARNAUSHENKO (supervised by Vladyslava ZAVHORODNIA) and Daria POLISHCHUK (supervised by Anna SLAVKO), second-year student Yaroslava HETMAN (supervised by Tetiana MALANCHUK), as well as the debut research work by first-year student Eliza BOKOVA (supervised by Vladyslava ZAVHORODNIA). The students presented scientific reports on pressing issues such as the exercise of voting rights during martial law, European standards on the right to privacy, the relationship between the right to organ transplantation and the right to life, and the right to participate in local governance. A video recording of all contestants’ presentations is available at https://youtu.be/Up_Dt5IdR7A?si=dd3tYBPSxLYF6LE8.

Unfortunately, our students did not win any prizes this time, but they represented the Academic and Research Institute of Law with dignity and gained valuable experience presenting their research findings.
