Round Table “Contemporary Challenges for Migration Policy: Legal, Educational and Historical Aspects”

On June 20, 2025, the scientific and practical round table “Contemporary Challenges for Migration Policy: Legal, Educational and Historical Aspects” took place. The event was held within the framework of the grant project “101098859-EU4Migration-ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH-UA-IBA / ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH ‘EU Migration Policy and Law in the Context of the Sustainable Development Goals'” under the Jean Monnet Actions of the Erasmus+ Programme.

The round table focused primarily on human rights in migration processes, migration regulation in Europe and globally, as well as the value-based, historical, and educational aspects of migration and the protection of internally displaced persons in Ukraine. Participants discussed issues related to the integration of Ukrainians abroad and internally displaced persons within Ukraine, ways to resolve the migration crisis in Ukraine, the specifics of Germany’s migration policy, and the instruments that transitional justice offers to forced migrants.

Around 50 researchers registered to participate in the event, representing higher education institutions, schools, and the professional legal community.
