Defence of Bachelor’s Qualification Papers

On June 19 and 20, the defences of bachelor’s qualification papers by students majoring in International Law took place. During the presentations, the students demonstrated a sufficient level of preparation, sound theoretical knowledge, the ability to analyse and interpret normative legal acts and the case law of national and international courts, as well as the capacity to formulate independent conclusions and substantiate their own legal positions.

The qualification papers addressed pressing issues such as international legal responsibility for war crimes, reparations for damage caused by external aggression, and other matters of transitional justice, as well as international legal cooperation in criminal proceedings, the monitoring of Council of Europe standards in Ukraine, and the promotion of gender equality.

The defences were conducted in both Ukrainian and English, with the use of distance learning technologies. Several qualification papers were prepared within the framework of the department’s research projects and Jean Monnet grant initiatives under the Erasmus+ programme.

Based on the outcomes of the defences, the Examination Committee decided to confer upon the candidates the academic degree of Bachelor of International Law.

We sincerely congratulate our graduates on successfully completing their bachelor’s studies and wish them continued professional accomplishments!
