On June 11-12, the Scientific Forum of the Ukrainian Association of Legal Clinics was held, which brought together more than 20 representatives of legal clinics in Ukraine, partners of the Association, experts/current members of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, as well as colleagues from foreign legal clinics and universities.
This year, the Forum combined two components: a scientific part dedicated to the current challenges of legal clinical education and human rights protection, and a traditional internal dialogue of the network of legal clinics on the results of work and plans for the future.
The Scientific Forum is held within the framework of the Human Rights Infrastructure for Ukraine Program (2025–2027), which is funded by the Swedish Government through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), and implemented by the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.
For the Department’s lecturers, Anna Slavko and Mariia Plotnikova, the Forum was the final stage of several months of training aimed at increasing the institutional capacity of legal clinics. We thank the Ukrainian Association of Legal Clinics for the excellent organisation of the events and look forward to continued fruitful cooperation.
