On 24 November 2025, the School of Law and Social Justice at the University of Liverpool hosted a lecture by Mykola Gnatovskyy, the Judge of the European Court of Human Rights elected in respect of Ukraine. The lecture focused on the prohibition of torture, inhuman and degrading treatment or punishment in the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights.
Anna Slavko, Associate Professor of the Department, who is currently undertaking a long-term academic mobility visit at the University of Liverpool within the Twinning Partnership, took part in the discussion.
