Department Researchers Joined the Development of the Transitional Justice Strategy in Ukraine

On January 29, 2026, the discussion platform “Best Practices and Challenges in Implementing Transitional Justice Mechanisms” was launched at the Higher School of Public Administration in Kyiv. This project has become a vital professional platform for expert discussion of management decisions and policies aimed at preparation for de-occupation, reintegration, and post-war recovery of our state.

The event was initiated by the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service (NAADS), the Higher School of Public Administration, and the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union, with the support of international partners. The discussion was held in a hybrid format, allowing for the involvement of a wide range of participants both in person and via online broadcast.

Vladyslava Zavhorodnia, Head of the Department, co-executor of the project «Access to justice: best EU practices for Ukraine», and Anna Slavko, Associate Professor, took an active part in the discussion. Special attention during the presentations was paid to the development of a training methodology for public servants on transitional justice issues. We express our gratitude to the organizers for the invitation and look forward to further fruitful partnership in this strategically important area.
