On 24 November 2025, a series of lectures by Dr Mateusz Kamionka (Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland) took place, jointly organised by the Centre for Human Resources Development of Sumy State University and the Department of International, European and Comparative Law. The lectures addressed the experience of protecting freedom of expression and media freedom within the EU and were held as part of the Jean Monnet Chair project “ EU Standards on Freedom of Expression and Information (101127062)”.
Both participants of the professional development programme “Freedom of Expression and Media Freedom in a Democratic Society: Standards of the European Union” and students of the “Law” and “International Law” programmes, who study EU law-related courses, were able to join the event.
