Daria Kalna, a student of “International Law,” became a participant in the Academy of Youth Diplomacy organized by NGO “United Youth” in February-March. The goal of this project is to develop an understanding among Ukrainian youth about what youth diplomacy is, what tools exist for its application for successful participation in international youth initiatives, development of cooperation with foreign youth, and representation of Ukraine on the global arena.
Daria passed a very rigorous selection process, as only 60 active and ambitious young professionals were chosen from 641 applicants. As Daria herself says, this month was filled with interesting lectures and practical classes, with each lecture conducted by a new speaker. All invited speakers have made significant contributions to the field of diplomacy and have considerable experience in this area. Among the speakers and guests of the program were: Erik Kucherenko, Yevheniia Mikhnovska, Maria Kotsiuba, Oksana Havryliv, Polina Hombalevska, Anastasiia Shymchuk, Anna Husenytsia, and others.
Together with Daria, we express sincere gratitude to everyone who was involved in this project, which undoubtedly contributed to the acquisition of new skills, broadening horizons, and envisioning further prospects for self-development.
