Participation in the Summer School

From 26 to 29 August, the Head of the Department and co-implementer of the project “Access to Justice: Best EU Practices for Ukraine,” Vladyslava ZAVHORODNIA, together with Associate Professor Anna SLAVKO, took part in the Summer School of Training Excellence (track: “Teaching Transitional Justice for Public Officials”), organised by the Higher School of Public Administration and the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union.

During the training, participants explored in detail the key concepts of transitional justice, mastered adult-learning methodologies, and completed a mandatory practical module involving the development of their own training programmes. Based on the results of the course, our lecturers designed a draft professional development programme for public officials, which has been submitted for implementation to the Sumy Regional Centre for Advanced Training. Additionally, the knowledge and skills acquired will be applied already in the current semester in teaching the course “Transitional Justice” to students of the International Law programme.
