The Third Online School on EU Migration Law Has Concluded

From March 21 to May 14, 2025, the Third Online School on “EU Migration Law” took place as part of the educational project with a research component “101098859-EU4Migration-ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH-UA-IBA / ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH ‘EU Migration Policy and Law in the Context of Sustainable Development Goals’” under the Jean Monnet Actions of the Erasmus+ Programme.

The thematic focus of the school remained unchanged: the history of migration processes in Europe, institutions operating in the field of migration, key provisions of Schengen law, and the protection of human rights in migration procedures. However, this year the lecturers also discussed the expansion of the Schengen Area, recent updates in EU migration legislation, and shared relevant judicial practice.

Lecturers of the school included members of the project team: Anatolii Honcharenko, Olha Shvaher, Vladyslava Zavhorodnia, and Anna Slavko. Additionally, the school hosted a webinar  “IDP Rights and the Status of Persons in Need of Temporary Protection in the EU”, presented by Rostyslav Nepyyipa, Senior Monitoring Officer on IDP issues at the NGO “Right to Protection.”

The relevance of the school’s topics remains consistently high, as confirmed by the strong interest of the participants. This year, a record number of over 200 people registered for the school, and more than 100 completed the course. Participants represented the legal professional community (lawyers, investigators, legal advisors, university lecturers) and the broader public (high school students, schoolteachers, etc.).

We appreciate your interest in our event and warmly invite you to participate in our future activities!
