On May 19-21, Sumy State University hosted an International Seminar on Sustainability and Security with the NATO Science for Peace and Security Program support. The event was organized by the International Center for Defense and Security (Estonia) and the Center for Regional Security Studies of Sumy State University.
The seminar was joined by experts from many educational institutions and research institutions from Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania, government officials, including Minister of Veterans Affairs Yulia Laputina, Sumy Regional State Administration Head Vasyl Khoma. NATO’s Assistant Secretary-General for New Security Challenges, David van Weel, spoke at the opening of the seminar online.
The seminar was attended by Vladyslava Zavhorodnya, Head of the MEPSPD Department, and students majoring in International Law, who attended a lecture by Ms. Vineta Kleine, Director of the NATO Information and Documentation Center in Ukraine, on the political and legal aspects of NATO-Ukraine relations.
