Participation in the VIII Summer School of Constitutional Law “Rule of Law and Constitutionalism: Due Process of Law and Procedural Human Rights”

Anna Popova, a PhD student of the Department of International, European, and Civil Law was selected to participate in the VIII Summer School of Constitutional Law “Rule of Law and Constitutionalism: Due Process of Law and Procedural Human Rights”, organized with the support of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine.

During the week (July 21-29, 2019), judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, the Supreme Court, leading scientists and practitioners held classes with Summer School participants. In particular, during the event the issues of verification of the constitutionality of laws and regulations were considered, and a session of the Constitutional Court was imitated. Also the recent trends in the development of the Constitutional Law in Ukraine and in the world, the role of the bar in a democratic society, the disciplinary responsibility of the judge, the substantive and legal ways of protecting civil rights were discussed.
