On September 22, 2021, Sumy State University hosted an event dedicated to Azerbaijani multiculturalism and Ukrainian-Azerbaijani relations. The event was attended by teachers and students majoring in History and International Law. Marina Honcharuk, a representative of the Baku International Center for Multiculturalism in Ukraine, gave a lecture to students on the concept of Azerbaijani multiculturalism and intercultural and interreligious dialogue in Azerbaijan. Ms. Marina told the students about the opportunities for non-formal learning within the programs of the Baku International Center for Multiculturalism, competitions and summer schools for students interested in Azerbaijani topics.
The Honorary Consul of Azerbaijan in Kharkiv, Candidate of Political Science Afghan Fagan Ogli Salmanov also addressed the participants of the event with a speech on the history of relations between the two countries.
The students showed great interest in the outlined problems and asked the guests questions, to which they were happy to answer.
