As an invited lecturer, the head of the Department, Vladyslava Zavhorodnia, took part in the work of the European Open Air University “EUbyLakes – Present, in the Future of Europe.” It is a special project in which students selected by competition from various European countries and public activists and cultural figures participate. The project includes the modules “Democracy”, “Cohesion”, “Equality”, “Climate Neutrality”, “Biodiversity” and “Digital Innovation”. Usually, the project is implemented in the format of an open-air University on the shores of six picturesque lakes in Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Greece, and Finland. However, this year, due to quarantine restrictions, events were held online.
Given the experience of implementing the Jean Monet project 600115-EPP-1-2018-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE “Enforcement of the European Union values in Ukraine”, Vladyslava Zahorodnia was invited to teach the module “Democracy”. She joined the international teachers’ and team, lectured more than 60 project participants from EU countries, the Western Balkans, Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova, and also participated in a discussion on local participation and minority rights in the EU.
