Results of the 3d teaching cycle of the course “Values of European Union” in the 2019/2020 academic year

In the Spring semester of the 2019/2020 academic year, students of the bachelor’s degree in Law, full-time, part-time, and distance learning, had the opportunity to join the elective course “Values of European Union”. The course is implemented within the educational project “600115-EPP-1-2018-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE “Enforcement of European Union Values in Ukraine,” with the support of the EACEA, Module Jean Monet Program Erasmus Programme+.

The third cycle of teaching was provided by the head of the International, European, and Civil Law Department, the project coordinator Vladyslava Zavhorodnia and project executor Anna Slavko. The EU Values module was chosen by 57 students of the Academic and Research Institute of Law in order to deepen and expand their knowledge in the field of EU law and acquire skills of value-oriented law enforcement.

In March 2020, a nationwide lockdown was introduced in the country due to the threat of the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, from March 16, 2020, all classes in the course were held remotely, using the Google meet resource and the blended learning platform MIX_SSU. This platform contains all the necessary resources for studying the course, tasks and guidelines for organizing independent work of students.

New challenges have identified new directions for the development of the course, as well as intensified the scientific work of students. This year our students were awarded not only victories in the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers, but also 1st place (Lisova Karina) and a diploma with honors (Artem Naumov) in the Essay Competition from the Association of Teachers and Researchers of European Integration. Congratulations to our students! We express our sincere gratitude for the sincere interest in our project!
