Training for curators and consultants of legal clinics

On May 20, 2022, the Academic and Research Institute of Law hosted training for curators and consultants of legal clinics in the framework of the Project 619998-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE “European Standards for Protection of Rights of Consumers of Financial Services”.

 

 

During the training, the speakers talked about the practice of advising in the field of financial services, especially the implementation of credit obligations during martial law, consumer risks in the field of microcredit and psychological methods of working with clients when providing advice in the field of financial services.

Svitlana Semynoh, Research Fellow, Department of International Private Law and Legal Problems of European Integration, Research Institute of Private Law and Entrepreneurship named after Academician Burchak of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv), Ph.D. in Law  on the : “Protection of Borrowers’ Rights consumer credit in martial law”

Liudmyla Rudenko, Ph.D. in Law, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Administrative, Economic Law and Financial and Economic Security of Sumy State University, Head of the Legal Clinic of Sumy State University, on the : “The practice of providing legal advice in the legal clinic of SSU during martial law”

Anna Yakovenko, practicing psychologist, forensic expert, on the: “Psychological aspects of training and counseling in the field of protection of the rights of consumers of financial services”

Curators and consultants of legal clinics of:  Berdyansk University of Management and BusinessNational University of Life and Environmental Sciences of UkraineDnipro Humanitarian UniversityUniversity of Customs and FinanceNational University “Chernihiv Polytechnic” and Sumy State University joined the event.

The participants of the training, students-consultants of legal clinics, discussed the practical aspects of counseling on the example of a specific case and developed an algorithm for counseling on the proposed plot. They also exchanged experience of legal clinics activities during martial law.
