European Standards for Protection of Rights of Consumers of Financial Services

The purpose of the discipline is to achieve students’ modern constructive, fundamental thinking and a system of special knowledge in the field of European standards for the protection of rights of consumers of financial services in the context of the relationship that develops in the process of European integration and the European system of protection of consumers of financial services.

After successful study of the course, the student will be able to:

  • to know the basic concepts and principles of the EU financial services market
  • to explain the legal basis for the functioning of the EU financial services market
  • to describe the system of sources of European law, the legal status of consumers of financial services and their right to protection of their legitimate rights and interests
  • to apply the acquired knowledge of European standards for the protection of the rights of consumers of financial services
