Aims of the course “Values of European Union” – the achievement by students of modern constructive, fundamental thinking, worldviews, and systems of specialized knowledge in the field of EU values and value-oriented law enforcement
After successful study of the course, the student will be able to:
- to understand the historical processes of formation of the values of the European civilization, the meaning of the concept of “European values” and their significance for law enforcement
- to interpret and use the concept in professional activities dignity, solidarity, pluralism, equality and non-discrimination, tolerance, justice and the rule of law
- to qualify the legal relationship concerning EU values in the context European integration processes
- to resolve specific legal situations using value-oriented approach and use legal mechanisms to counteract discrimination
